I absolutely love the extra storage for tools and emergency items the EDC box provides on my 2023 R1250GSA. My choice was for the optional codable lock, so I can open and lock it with the factory key. This was easy to do and worked perfectly for me. Build quality appears to be very good. Due to limited clearance between the rear tire and the box, the splash guard had to be removed as per enclosed instructions. I’m not a huge fan of removing the guard, but I understand compromises are necessary. Mounting the box with the supplied bracket was tricky as one almost needs a third hand to hold thing together while tightening the first bracket screw. Fit with the Mosko Moto pannier bases installed is possible, but I had to compromise again and eliminate one of the two bottom brackets for the pannier system in order for the EDC box to fit.

At first glance the materials used for the box, mounting frame and hardware seem to be of good quality. Instructions are typical in this day and age of using icons and hieroglyphics. Mounting is a pain, need three hands. Construction of the box came into question after I had mounted to the bike. The box is made up of two halves connected by threaded studs that I see no way of adjusting, which is fine. But I came back the next day to install tools, and noticed light come through the seems, making the box less than water resistant. I have contacted Wunderlich America twice via email, and have yet to receive a response.

Fairly easy to install. Alignment holes on catch brackets were not drilled correctly but made it work. Lock cylinder was easy to make with the directions and pictures provided. Water tight and great to use on the bike

I will not take away a star from the product, for the instructions, but I will say - 4 pages is a little over-kill for a box? Anyway - the toolbox is exactly what I wanted. Large, solid, waterproof, pretty easy to install. I did a lot of shopping, even bought one of the "alternatives" - which I could not justify putting on a BMW. This is the quality I wanted, room I needed. The lock was a LITTLE stiff, until I realized I missed 1 washer. Put that in and perfect! Just push a little and it seals right up!

Of course..... Its German quality and had never a doubt it wouldn't be. Top Qualitaet und einfach zu montieren!! Greetings from Florida.

First I was skeptical for purchasing such an expensive tool box, but once it arrived I could tell that the quality was way better than anything on FeaBay. The lock was easily programmable and allows me to carry only the key fob. Another reviewer said they had issues with the latch being too tight. Yes, mine was tight too, but it came with a little spacer washer that’s allows you to shim the latch out, therefore not having to bend the tabs. I feel like over time the latch will loosen up and eventually be perfectly smooth. Overall, super happy with this EDC toolbox and I highly recommend it over any other on the market.

So what seemed like a simple fix.. took an unnecessary amount of time to install , the instructions are straight forward enough, but I ended up going my own way .. which actually was quicker . The box looks great and is big enough to carry a puncture repair kit and basic tool kit .. so from that point of view it’s a winner . The locking system needs some elbow power to initiate the first time it’s used .. I managed to get it to lock , but must admit I thought the key might snap.. it didn’t . Now the lid closes fine and no strain on the lock so all good . In my case it is worth “ The Blood , Sweat, and Beer” .. I would recommend
