The pegs work great, I am 6’ 4” and needed lower pegs to avoid leg cramps. They were easy to install and work great, no more leg cramps makes riding much more comfortable.

I have a 29 inseam, and run a low Sargent seat in the lowest setting on my 2013 R1200RT to get decent ground reach. Having the seat this low puts a lot of bend in my knee to the stock pegs and it was a problem on longer rides. Even this kit only lowers the pegs a little over an inch, they make a HUGE difference in comfort. As a test I just installed the right side, and sat on the bike on the center stand - wow what a difference. I put the other side on and went for a 100 mile ride and was very happy with the result. They feel and look solid, with all the machining spot-on. The kit included new c-clips, all the pins, thread-locker, etc. that you need. The color of the finish even exactly matches the mounting points. Installation was pretty easy. I ended up with an hour in it all together from the time I opened the box until I was ready to ride. It took me a couple minutes to orient them correctly as some others have mentioned but between the instructions and the pictures it's not hard to figure out. I did have to remove the left side plate over the gear shift to be able to rotate and lower the shift lever but that does not require removing the tupperware. I did notice that I bump the foot peg a little more often with my leg when stopping than I used to because the peg is in a different position than it was, but it's not a problem. I suspect after a few hundred miles to get used to them I won't even notice.

these items were a definate quality product although at a premium price. The finished project looked very nice. If the footpegs had been marked right and left, it would have made for a far superior install. They fit backwards, but not quite as easily and the springs don't sit where they belong and that is your first indication you wasted alot of time. There are plenty of papers with the kit and alot of instruction, but they really do not do a very good job at the translation of german to english. Bottom line is they fit and work, and look great.

I installed the Footpeg Lowering Kit on a new 2015 BMW R1200RT to ease the uncomfortable leg bend despite the tall saddle in the high mount position. Perfect fit and easy installation, though the instructions did not provide accurate information on the rear brake pedal adjustment. This required complete bracket removal. Cornering clearance is notably reduced, but it is a good compromise given the ergonomic improvement.

This is the second set of lowering pegs that I have purchased for my 09 RT. The right peg from the first set was broken off in a parking lot when a poor driver bumped my bike and it went over. I was standing next to the bike and slowed the fall partially but the casting broke and the foot peg came off. I have dropped many a bike and have never had a part break so easily! At 6'5" I found the positioning better than stock but the cornering clearance can be a concern.

I put this on my 2012 R1200RT. Was pretty easy to put on once I figured out the directions. Directions could be better. I was experiencing pain from a bad knee with originals. Lowered pegs seem to solve the problem.

Works as advertised. I appreciate the tilt/cornering concerns but I could use them even longer and further forward....I estimate a good 30% improvement in position for those of us oldsters with hip socket issues...

I bought this kit for the BMW R1200RT. 2010 model. The footpeg "spring back" fitting from the original bike mounting does not marry well with the supplied lowering bracket. I have had to use spacers on the bottom of the original cotter pin to force the spring to engage on the groove in the supplied lowering bracket. The tail of the spring protrudes unreasonably beyond the fittings.
