Instrument Surround, Silver
The instruments of the R1200 RT lay beneath a rather expansive clear plastic bubble. It not always easy to read all of the provided information, especially in bright sunlight. This instrument surround from Wunderlich, will give your bike that classic, round instrument appearance while noticeably improving the clarity and readability of the instruments and warning lights. Glare and reflections no longer obscure your view of vital information and any scratches, which may already exist on your instrument covering will be less visible due to the reduced reflection.
Made of vacuum formed, silver ABS plastic with a very hard and shiny finish. The part is highly scratch resistant and it has the quality appearance of a factory part. Easy to install using commercially available clear silicone adhesive. The instrument surround can also be painted if desired.

This really finishes off the RT dash like it should have been done at the factory. I chose the silver, black probably would have looked good too. Maybe I'll paint it later when I'm tired of it. I didn't even try to put the film on after reading the other reviews. It seemed like a waste of time.

Excelente producto, le da una vista mas nueva y deportiva. Queda exactamente al tamao del tablero original. Instalacin muy facil

The silver color matches the bike plastic perfectly, and looks like it came from the factory. It definitely cuts the glare and reflections, even without the supplied film, which I had to discard. The supplied film to cover the panel was terrible. I have a lot of experience with applying films but this material was not typical. I cleaned the panel very well to ensure there was no dirt, and then tried to apply the film from the bottom, to line up the holes for the buttons. Once you get an air bubble, it cannot be smoothed out, as it permanently discolors the film, so if you don't get it right the first time, it looks awful, so I just discarded it and installed the shroud without it. I am going to buy the Apple iPad anti glare matte film, which can be cut and repositioned without discoloration
