Rear view mirrors are only useful if you can see in them something useful (such as traffic). In many cases what you see is your own shoulders, especially if wearing a warm winter jacket.
Over the years there have been various methods to overcome this nuisance - ours is to move the mirrors outwards and slightly forward. A simple, very effective but still nice looking solution! The precision machined extension pieces are nicely integrated into the design of the bike and allow much better visibility to the rear and increased safety for the rider.

R1200 GS Adventure (up to 2013 model) owners please note: If your Adventure is equipped with the optional BMW fog lights, you should also order the mirror extender risers which will raise this part above the switch housing. The Risers are also an advisable accessory for taller riders who wish to have the mirrors even higher as well as further outward.

F800 R (models 2015 on): You will have to order and fit the additional risers (+2.5cm) that you can find under the 'Related Products'.
