    Mirror Extender Kit, Black

Rear view mirrors are only useful if you can see in them something useful (such as traffic). In many cases what you see is your own shoulders, especially if wearing a warm winter jacket.
Over the years there have been various methods to overcome this nuisance - ours is to move the mirrors outwards and slightly forward. A simple, very effective but still nice looking solution! The precision machined extension pieces are nicely integrated into the design of the bike and allow much better visibility to the rear and increased safety for the rider.

    The Facts:

    • CNC machined high quality aluminum alloy.
    • Available in anodized black or silver color.
    • Easy, simple and fast fitting of extension to bike and mirrors.
    • Suitable for original or aftermarket mirrors.
    • Relocates mirror 1-1/2 inch out and 1 inch forward.

Sold as a complete set of two brackets for left and right side mirror.

R1200 GS Adventure (up to 2013 model) owners please note: If your Adventure is equipped with the optional BMW fog lights, you should also order the mirror extender risers which will raise this part above the switch housing. The Risers are also an advisable accessory for taller riders who wish to have the mirrors even higher as well as further outward.

F800 R (models 2015 on): You will have to order and fit the additional risers (+2.5cm) that you can find under the 'Related Products'.

Please Note: Exceptions to model/year fitment

*Installation estimated at 15 minutes for this part may vary depending on skill level.

    Love this!
With my jacket on I was losing a 1/3 of my rear-view mirror with my body, these extend mirrors out and increase visibility I feel safer because I can see more, they look great, high-quality product! after having them on I would never go back to stock.

Absolute must....definite improvement. Ridiculous we even have to purchase this mod given brand and expense of purchase. Recommend.

    Does the job well
Yes, they seem expensive, but they position the mirrors in a way that you get a much wider view. Especially useful changing lanes. So what’s that worth? Could use lock washer.

    It works !
I purchased both the offset and risers for my 2019 850 GSA and it solved the problem of my large self blocking the field of view behind me. Has any Large tall person tried their windscreen upgrade- would it work for a 6'-5" large person?

    good part
    improves the field of vision

    Nice kit
Well made, blends well with the finish on the bars. Dead simple to install. Provides greater visibility and after a few hundred miles I've not had any trouble with vibration. It's one of those items that falls into the nonessential category but once you got 'em wish you would have bought them sooner!

    Essential Parts
Given the mirror positioning on the K1200 and similar, you already know that you don't get a great rear view picture - you get a cramped sliver of what's happening just outside your elbows. These extenders are costly, but when fitted, allow you to adjust the mirrors so that you get a more complete, joined view of what's happening behind you. Removed a star for price, but totally happy with the functional result.

    Good, but not great product
Bought these a few weeks ago after reading the recommendations. It does move the mirrors up and out, making it easier to see. However though vibration in the mirrors is lessened, they still do vibrate.

    Very Nice Part But Expensive
Nice part which works well and dramatically improves the field of view in the review mirrors. Very expensive for what you get though. Two spacers, two bolts, two washers and two plastic plugs for $80 ?!?

This item will not fit the R1200RS
Mirrors on the R1200RS are mounted in the fairing of the bike (not in the handlebar), so this extension will not work

    Worthwhile-should be an OEM item
These are great and should have been installed by BMW from new. It is great not to see my elbows in the mirrors now.

    a must
Made a huge difference. Highly recommended. I feel much safer to ride. Too bad it doesnt come from the factory with the extensions.... bottom line:get them

    2014 RT
Easy to install and adjust. No mirror vibrations. Increases rearward visibility

    F800R Mirror extender kit
Does what it supposed to do.

    A must have
    Much better rear visability

    Works great
I'm 6'3' and these extenders were just the ticket for being able to position the mirrors to suit my line of sight. Great quality.

ite improves visibility, nice product to have nstalled on your bike.

    Black Mirror Extender Kit.
I fitted these mirror extenders to my K13. They greatly improved the effectiveness of the mirrors and set them in the perfect position for me. They are a high quality product but my personal view is that they slightly detract from the bike appearance. I can live with it and they will be staying on

    Worked really well
These worked perfectly. Moved my mirrors a little up and further out. I give 4 starts for value... two small pieces of aluminum and two bolts for $80?

    Steve Kenemuth
Bought them because I had been told they remove the little bit of vibration in the mirrors. I don't know the dynamics of how adding these could smooth out the image in the mirror, but they did on my 2011 R1200R. They do improve the view also.

    Great improvement, just 1 thing...
Greatly improved my rear view, no regrets or buyer\'s remorse. The left bracket adds only a half inch on the R1200GSA, since the spotlight switch fills that space.

2nd accessory I made for my 2011 BMW F800R. I still see a bit of elbow in my mirrors but haven't had to tuck in to see my wife behind me. For safety they're great. I could probably adjust them further if needed. These extenders blend well with the bike and I forget they're there helping me every time I ride. The kit came with 2 washers not in the directions, I put the below the extenders and it worked out. No LocTite used and they haven't loosened up after 300 miles. Good Investment.

Considering the price I am not pleased with this purchase. I had to use washers under the extenders because the bolts were too long. I also had to releive the washers to clear the screws that hold the brake resivoir bracket. I thought Wunderlich was a first class operation but now understand that some of the products they sell are universal fit. I am dissapointed. Gene

    Must Have Safety Option
Installed on 07 K1200R Sport and they are just what the safety nut asked for. There is no way John-Q average can see effectively without these extenders! Although pricey, can we put a price on safety? Much better layout/configuration then other available brand that moves the mount UP and over. No need to add height, just width.

Easy to put on- moved mirrors forward abourt inch and out inch, can see who is following me.

    another positive review
I'll echo what's already been said above - great quality, superb upgrade, very well made - and now I can actually see what's going on behind me. A very valuable upgrade - and not too spendy either. Well done Wunderlich.

    Easy install and good quality
I installed them on my new R 1200 GS 2012 model. They work as advertised, they provide the angle of view you need without the shoulder look. Over all the quality is good and installs easy.

    Ron Space II
    f800gs rider
these extension for the mirrors are a must unless you like looking at your shoulders.

    works as claimed
These extenders do move the mirrors out, enabling the rider to see past his shoulders. They are well made and simple to install.

Does not fit the ADV due to the the AUX light switch.
Due to the AUX light switch, this item doesn't fit the Adventure model. The extender isn't long enough to wrap around the switch housing.

    Mirror Extenders
These worked out better than I had hoped. Easy to install yourself and work great. Highly recommend.

    Mirror extenders
The work and look great and add approx 1 inch each side of mirror placement. The right side does need an extra washer ton clear the Brake Reservoir Protector if you are using one.

    Nice and simple addition
I felt like the stock pacement of the mirror was in my face. With these I feel like I have a broader view + the mirrors are not right in my face. Excellent addition to my 2010 GS.

    Mirror Extender R1200GS
Extenders arrived today and were installed within 20 minutes. I'm never disappointed by the QUALITY, in capital letters, of Wunderlich parts. These are beautiful CNC'd anodized black with STAINLESS STEEL bolts. Easy to install and adjust. take them for their first ride and see (really) who I'm leaving in the dust!
