Wunderlich Side Stand Support

The side stand spring of the Pan America is not effective in holding the side stand when folded. The stand will actually bob up and down when riding on uneven surfaces. Additionally, the side stand does not kick out as swiftly as it should. We looked at this very carefully, and determined that it was not a problem with the spring tension, but rather the placement of the spring as it relates to leverage ratios and the dead center position. We decided that the best way to improve the sidestand spring function is with this supplemental spring kit, holding the side stand in place while riding and ensuring that the side stand kicks out all the way when initiated.

How is it Harley isn't doing this from the factory? The Wunderlich Supplemental Side Stand Spring transforms the wimpy H-D factory 'Jiffy Stand" into something that reliably raises, lowers and snaps into position with authority. And once the stand is up, it doesn't flop or bounce around. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Spring assist functions like it should really makes the kickstand spring up/down into place and holds it more stable to the bike when up. For what it is though the price is what hurts.

I bought the Jiffy Stand supplemental spring kit hoping it would assist in making the stand more solid in its deployment. It works very well as advertised and I now know when it is all the way down without having to kick it multiple times to be sure. It’s on the pricey side, but if it prevents one drop it’s well worth it. Very happy with the purchase.

First off: Great producer its really nice that the sidestand is sitting form now. I just returned from italy driving the Act track, Where the spring broke in the mountains. Just installed this additional spring for the side stand last night. Very straight forward, simple install. Works very well. I would not have even know this aftermarket part existed had I not been watching a Pan America review on YouTube. I immediately went to your website and placed my order! My only call out, is I think the spring could be a touch shorter so there is a bit more tension. Seems to work fine but I also installed the larger foot plate on the side stand which may add a little weight. I am sure it will be fine, but thought I would call that out.
