The metal work and finish are perfect, but the instructions are useless, until I finally got the protectors installed, then they I could figure out what they meant. If I had another bike to install them on i could finish in an hour easy. My advise would be to throw the instructions in the trash and lay the parts out next the bike, that’s what I did.

As stated by other reviewers the installation instructions are not understandable. I completed my installation today, they look great, took 4 hours should have taken 2, if someone at Wunderlich would take the time to do a video or do proper instructions. I can testify you MUST remove the bags, will save a lot of frustration. Ilium Works has a great video on this. I prefer the look of these bars, otherwise I would order from Ilium Works. It took these guys 3 days to respond to my email inquiring if the bags should be removed, they failed to answer the question, they probably don’t know. If they offered to pay me I might prepare some instructions for them.

Ok... waited for these to get in stock as the bags on the K1600B/GA are not removable and have no protection. I'm still not completely certain they will work...but we'll see. What I did not expect was the seriously inadequate installation instructions and part missing from the kit. The install instructions were, apparently, Google translated from German and no one proof read the english...suffice it to say not everything translated appropriately. The pictures were 'instamatic' quality with no context to understand what you were looking at. Three tips; 1) don't try this installation unless you own a set of long t-handle torx wrenches, 2) remove the bag covers from both sides and 3) just lift the rear fender cover up out of the way and run a bit of tape to the trunk...contrary to the instructions you can't remove it without removing the saddlebags from the bike first. Oh, and I was missing all 4 small anti-vibration nuts. Overall... OK the product appears good and hopefully will work. That said Wunderlich should be embarrassed about selling a $750 product with terrible installation instructions
