Wunderlich Engine Bars, Black
Effective all around protection for the F 800 GT!
The facts:
- Protection for the F800 GT fairing
- Uniform distribution of forces.
- Attaches at 6 strong mounting points.
- Left and right sides are connected for structural integrity.
- Elaborately bent round tubes.
- Does not compromise ground and cornering clearance.
- Powder-coated steel tubing 22mm outside diameter.
- Easy to install.
- Exclusive Wunderlich Design
- Made in Germany.
Installation requires that a small recess is cut into the inner panels on the left and right sides. No modification to the outer fairing (painted parts) is required.

I only bought these for my 14 F800GT so I could put highway pegs on to stretch my legs. The directions aren't well translated from German and the bottom 2 bolts on the engine are extremely difficult to line up and install. Took me and a fellow F800 owner almost 4 hours to install with quite a selection of tools and much contorting of our bodies. They have an odd 26mm diameter and a weird angle compared to your seating position so highway pegs are at a non ideal location and difficult to find.

The installation instructions do not fully reflect the fairing modifications that are needed. Aligning the lower mounting points to properly thread the bolt into the engine is a difficult process that benefits from a lift and a second person. It is better to thread the lower mount first then attach the top mount (instructions for single person installation suggest the reverse). Otherwise a great product once installed
