My friend and i put these bars on today which was a learning experience. The directions that come with it don't tell you that you have to modify your right and left inner fairings inorder to bolt on the triangluar piece that the bars attach to. So inorder to do this yourself either have a drill to make holes in your fairing or a rasp to get the job done. I called our local ship and they charge $253.00 to put protection bars on a GS but have never put these on so expect probably $300.00. It wasn't hard to do but did take a little time to do it since this was our first time doing it.
